Our goal through the Member of the Month program is to acknowledge individuals that represent some of our core values here at Temple Fitness. Each month, one member will be highlighted through our social media platforms along with a questionnaire that will provide personal insight from each of them.

Our March Member of the Month is none other than Janice! She demonstrates the value of learning in the gym – working to improve PRs, movement patterns, and overall knowledge of exercise and fitness. Plus, Janice’s attitude is contagious during class – her enthusiasm always encourages those working out alongside her. She is a great workout partner! We are so grateful to have Janice as part of our gym family and represent Temple Fitness. Thank you, Janice!

What big goals/accomplishments are you proud of?: I enrolled in the 21 Day Challenge with a goal of losing weight and get in shape for our Alaskan Cruise!  With the encouragement and guidance from the amazing staff at Temple Fitness I was able to lose some unwanted inches around my waist!  With these great results I joined the club and was determined to keep going! Since the first of the year of 2019 I have been determined to increase my cardio. Just recently with Brynn encouraging me I increased my 4 minute pull time on the row machine from 776 to 847! And the Ski Machine from 670 to 758! Also, when I first started I was pushing the sled with very little weight; I’m now able to push 150 pounds! I have also kept the inches off that I lost.

What is your next goal that you are working toward?: Keep working on getting stronger and healthier. Stay committed to work out 3 to 4 days a week to help me lose inches and weight for the summer.

What advice would you give to someone new that is just starting their journey?: Temple Fitness is the place to be, they are the best! First, define your goals, get motivated; set your mind to achieving these goals. The team at Temple Fitness will help you all the way, you are not alone. They will keep you moving each step of the way to help you achieve your goals. The support and encouragement that you will be getting from the staff and fellow members is amazing, it makes you feel like “I got this” and you do!  Your possibilities are endless once you are motivated and you have your mind set on your goals. You can make this journey to a healthier and stronger you!
